You may be wondering if you can be a cam model and hide your appearance from people in hopes that you can keep your true identity safe. The answer to that is yes and no. I am going to go over some of the things you can and cannot do as far as hiding yourself on cam.
As a cam model, you will be expected to show your face at least part of the time. Think about it. Would you want to pay someone a bunch of money to talk to their belly button or behind? The answer to that is probably going to be no. At least, it is for the majority of your audience. They want eye contact, they want a face to put to the name. They want to know who they are getting intimate with. So you will have to put your face on cam for some of the time.
However, there are things you can do in order to keep people, family and friends, from recognizing you. The first thing you should do to avoid family and friends from seeing you, is to put a region block on. You can find this in your model profile settings on the cam site you work for. You can block the areas that you have friends in by state and even by country. Even after doing this, you need to accept that you are probably going to be seen by someone you know.
If you are still concerned about someone recognizing you, the best thing for you to do is to make yourself unrecognizable. You can successfully accomplish this by making up disguises. There are many ways to change your appearance and look like someone completely different. There are YouTube videos that teach you to apply makeup in ways that make you look like Kim Kardashian, Dolly Parton, and just about anyone else you could ever want to look like! I highly recommend using this as a niche if you have a flair for applying makeup!
Wigs are another way to conceal your identity. They come in all kinds of colors, styles, and lengths. They vary from Anime to Hollywood. You could make your cam niche be Anime characters. Be sure to read up on the character before you choose to be one so you can impress your gamer audience with your knowledge! There are also eye contacts available to change the color of your eyes to match your wig! I even have a set of fangs that I use on occasions when I dress up like a cat! Have fun with it and your audience will be intrigued and delighted to see you on cam everyday! They will always be wondering what you really look like and who you will look like tomorrow!
The last option you have is masks. I would not recommend using only masks to hide your identity, but instead, use it with the wigs, eye contacts, and makeup. Some sites do not allow you to solely wear masks everyday as they need to be sure you are the person you claimed to be during the verification process. Make sure you contact the site you work for, or plan to work for, to ensure they are okay with you doing it. If you do decide to wear masks and the site you work for is fine with it, be sure to change up your masks everyday. Having a variety will keep your audience much happier.
